We are moving into Warped Shakespeare plays! I'll be keeping the rest of my journal stuff and papers in my MYP Personal Project Packet thingy, so my blog will be empty for some time after this.
So anyways, I'll just start by saying we (my group:Issac, Jessica, Rosvan, Andrey, Andrew C) chose Twelfth Night as our play after a heated discussion on which play is better (our picks were either Twelfth Night or th Tempest) in our INVESTIGATION/RESEARCH.
So we decided, as of now, a hillbilly Kansas sky city to stage our drama. It started off hillbilly farms, then sky city added to the affect of being swept away by a tornado into Kansas (get it? connection to wizard of oz?).
Anyways it's time to design my puppet, which will most likely be on a guy name fester or feste or jester or whatever. ill make a jester hat, a clown face, a whatnot.
Until a month or two later, bloggers!

I fear Shakespeare!?!
Well, before i get into that, we did our lil skit on the Lil Mermaid. It was pretty funny, me being the
pissed off dad of Ariel....and talking in Chinese! haha, it was great. that went much better than I thought, since we left out the whole part about killing Ursula and allowing me to accept a "human".
Anyways Shakespeare. Notes we took to the right; it's pretty blurry. Also, we started investigating the puppet play we'll be doing. Not much progress on that yet...

Presentation goes.......
All right, it was decent...Andrew just HAD to get his schedule changed. Well anyways this performance was our prologue performance. We had to improvise because Tu left us. Personally, I thought it went pretty good after we had sorted out the problems and made juliann/vianca the narrators for the first performance. Yet we had really brushed aside a few of ours lines without showing any draaamatic moves, which probably dropped us a lot grade-wise. We didn't flow well towards the end due to the fact that I think we needed more movements.
Now our second performance had, i thought, some nice points to it. However, it also felt to me to be a lil messy. a few of the transitions were off, and my group wasn't sure what to do. this might've been because of my narration, since i talked slow and fast at different times.
I think i'd give myself a "B"

"Drama-"tic first post

Hullo! Well this is my first post on my blog. I'm kinda getting used to this, sooo, for the past week we worked on Shakespeare, Renaissance, and Shakespeare...and even more Shakespeare. We took notes in the big room with all the comfy seats (much nicer than sitting on a cold, drama room floor) about shakespeare's era and his life (check the image).
Anyways, we started our Shakespeare unit this week with a number of insults created from a number of Shakespearian era language words. We didn't have enough time to read mine, so i'll show mine to thy public: "Thou reeky onion-eyed egg-shell!" Reeky plugging my nose, onion eyed with the with the spider-man eye thing, and egg-shell...hmmm...i think i was still working on that one.
Now for our first project in this unit: the prologue of Shakespeare's plays. We are to create a number of visual depictions showing what the prologue to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet would be in that era. After that, we would then create another one depicting the prologue in Modern times...Andrew just HAD to get his schedule changed. Now it looks like we gotta improvise. Until Monday, or w/e i tell you about how the presentation goes
